The story of the 2017 Residency started at Unseen ’16. Five artists were nominated for the Residency and submitted ideas. A jury picked the winning idea and artist. Out of the 61 artists who premiered during the Unseen Photo Fair 2016, the international jury consisting of Jenny Nordquist (Artistic Director, Landskrona Foto Festival, SE), Karin Andreasson (Photo Editor, The Guardian, SE), and Alison Nordström (Independent Curator, US) has chosen Lana Mesić as the winner of the Grolsch Unseen Residency.
The journey has been documented and the end result will be unveiled at Unseen Amsterdam in September 2017.
