The G20 Summit is the “premier forum for international economic cooperation” (agreed by leaders at the Pittsburgh Summit in September 2009) and maintains great influence over the global economy, with its members representing more than 80% of the world’s GDP. The primary agenda addressed at the Summit meetings is focused on issues related to the global economy. However, the discussions in recent Summits have also included issues such as trade and investment, development, climate change and energy, employment, digitalization, counterterrorism, as well as migration and refugees.

DDB has been asked to review the current website to redesign and to rewrite copy to turn this website from a “dull” and static site into a website that tells a story and have some kind of overall narrative that is also distinctively Saudi. It should show the Saudi heritage/past and the attractive present and dynamic future. In short
- Show the Saudi heritage/past and the attractive present and dynamic future.
- Tell a story and have some kind of overall narrative that is also distinctively Saudi.
- Be well designed and easy to navigate
CHALLENGE
We were given 9 weeks to create a whole new website based on an identity, which was under development, and having it built on an existing framework (SharePoint) that was already rolled out, due to the time constraints.
We have (re)build the website, which is user friendly, easy to read, rich with visuals and easy to navigate, accessible on all platforms and user friendly (WCAG level AA). All of this was built in SharePoint CMS for G20 to maintain the website themselves.
